Announcing Finch’s Compatibility with FIS Relius

We’re excited to announce that Finch is now fully compatible with FIS Relius, one of the most trusted plan administration platforms in the retirement industry.

With this compatibility, recordkeepers using both Relius and Finch can now onboard plan sponsors in just three simple steps to automatically import standardized payroll and census data from sponsors’ payroll systems directly into Relius. These connections can be managed through the Finch Dashboard, with built-in tools for mapping pay statement items.

FIS Relius: A trusted leader in 401(k) recordkeeping

For more than 50 years, FIS Relius has been a foundational system for retirement plan administrators across the country. It offers powerful, scalable tools for recordkeeping, plan administration, compliance, document generation, and government form filing, making it a go-to platform for TPAs and recordkeepers of all sizes.

Relius has also been ahead of the curve when it comes to sponsor data accessibility, providing an avenue for integration for Relius ASP. Finch’s direct integration allows for seamless end-to-end data connectivity between Relius users and sponsors’ payroll systems.

Going further with Finch + Relius

Now that Finch is compatible with the Relius platform, recordkeepers can automate the collection of census and pay data and receive it in a single, unified format. Once the sponsor has authorized the connection, Finch will regularly pull data directly from the payroll system, transform it, and send it to the Relius platform. Those connections can then be managed through the Finch Dashboard.

Recordkeepers also benefit from Finch’s Payroll Mapping tool. Users can map pay statement items across Earnings, Deductions, and Contributions just once, and all future pay data will be synced within Relius according to the mapped labels.

Here’s how it works:

1. Onboarding made easy: Recordkeepers invite sponsors to connect their payroll system via a link to Finch Connect, which walks them through three simple steps: log in, select the data to be shared, and authorize the connection. This entire process can take as little as 30 seconds.‍
2. No more manual uploads: Once connected, Finch automatically pulls the relevant census and pay statement data and formats it to match Relius standards.‍
3. Streamlined mapping and connection visibility: Once a connection is established, recordkeepers can monitor the connection health in the Finch Dashboard and use the Payroll Mapping feature to assign pre-configured labels to pay statement line items.
   

Unlike SFTP connections, Finch’s onboarding flow eliminates the need for sponsors to manually gather company codes, configure data divisions, or routinely send files. It’s a set-it-and-forget-it experience for sponsors — and a major time-saver for administrators.
